Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026
The Brad Baker Campaign ("the Campaign," "we," "us") respects the privacy of the voters, volunteers, supporters, and visitors ("you") who use our website at bradbakercampaign.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Using the Site means you consent to these practices.
1. What We Collect
a. Information you give us. When you contact the Campaign, volunteer, ask a question, or sign up for updates, we may collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and the contents of your message, along with anything else you choose to share.
b. Text and call opt-in data. If you give us a phone number and consent to calls or texts, we collect the number and the information needed to deliver those communications and to document your consent.
c. Email opt-in data. If you sign up for campaign emails, we collect your address and preferences.
d. Automatic information. Visiting the Site may generate limited technical data — IP address, pages viewed, browser and device type, referring page — used for security and aggregate traffic measurement. We do not use cookies to sell your information or for cross-site behavioral advertising.
2. How We Use It
We use this information to respond to you; to send updates, reminders, and volunteer or contribution requests you've asked for; to operate, secure, and improve the Site; and to comply with the law, including campaign-finance reporting obligations that apply to contributions.
3. Text Message (SMS) Program
If you opt in, you may receive calls and texts from the Brad Baker Campaign. Message and data rates may apply; frequency varies; messages may include requests for contributions. Text STOP at any time to opt out (a single confirmation may follow) and HELP for help.
Never sold, never shared for marketing. Your phone number, SMS consent, and opt-in data are not sold, rented, or traded, and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share mobile information only with the vendors that operate our messaging program on our behalf, and only as permitted or required by law.
TCPA consent records. When you opt in, we keep a record of the date, time, method of consent, and the exact disclosure text you saw, for as long as applicable law requires. We call or text only with your prior express written consent, except where a narrower TCPA exception applies.
Universal opt-out. We honor opt-out requests across all channels within ten (10) business days. Revoking consent by texting STOP, using an email unsubscribe link, or contacting us applies to all Campaign calls and texts to the number or address you specify, consistent with FCC rules. You never need a separate opt-out per message type.
4. Email
Unsubscribe any time via the link in any message or by contacting us. We do not sell or share your email address; we use it only for the communications you requested, delivered through our email service providers.
5. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We disclose it only: (a) to service providers working on our behalf (hosting, analytics, email, and messaging vendors) who are bound to protect it; (b) where law, subpoena, or court order requires — including campaign-finance disclosures required for contributions; or (c) to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Campaign or others.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless the law requires longer:
- Contact submissions: up to four (4) years or until the inquiry is resolved, whichever is longer.
- SMS/call consent records: four (4) years after your last message from us or after opt-out, whichever is later, to document TCPA compliance.
- Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe, plus up to ninety (90) days to process suppression.
- Server and security logs: up to twelve (12) months.
- Records tied to campaign-finance obligations: as Florida law requires.
Expired data is deleted or de-identified; backups may persist briefly before automatic purge.
7. Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses only essential cookies and privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used, so no cookie banner is presented; if that ever changes, this policy will be updated with notice and choice first.
8. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard safeguards. No internet transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Third-Party Links
Links to other sites (for example, our payment processor or the Supervisor of Elections) are governed by those sites' own policies.
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
11. Your Choices
Texts: STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Email: unsubscribe link or contact us. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, subject to applicable law, including records we must keep under campaign-finance law.
12. California Residents
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, including SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, and email addresses. California residents may request to know, delete, or correct their personal information by using the contact form (note "California privacy request") or writing to the address below; we respond within forty-five (45) days and never discriminate for exercising these rights. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.
